The Ribbons by Design Collection incorporates the traditional awareness ribbon into multi-ribbon designs to raise awareness, show support, and stir memories of the many connections we share with friends and loved ones.  The idea for the designs came about when I went looking for jewelry for my family to commemorate my sister’s one year anniversary of completing chemotherapy after her battle with breast cancer.  Our designs are based on the simple fact that no one goes through the fight alone, it touches the lives of all who know and love them.

 

When my sister was diagnosed with cancer, family and friends came together to support her as she underwent a never-ending array of doctors’ appointments, surgeries, and chemotherapy.  One year after completing chemotherapy, she decided to walk in a 5K breast cancer event and my family joined her for what proved to be a very emotional day. 

 

As I was preparing for the event, I decided to buy matching pendants for my mother, sister, and myself to commemorate the day and our journey together.  I wanted a high quality piece that was unique, attractive and included the ribbon, but could only find a simple ribbon on a chain.  So, I created designs that include multiple ribbons to reflect the many connections that we share with loved ones and friends. 

 

I hope our designs, in some small way, allow you to express your awareness and support for the cause that has touched your life.  To show our commitment, Ribbons by Design will donate five percent of annual net revenues from the sale of our products to fund cancer research.
